The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regards to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company stage developed for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of probable sassa status beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
